Nothing to Find

Until now I believed that there was somewhere to get to and all I had to do was find it. But I’m realizing that there is nothing to find, because nothing was lost. Everything exists in me and outside of me and each “thing” has its turn to move into the forefront.
This place that I had been looking for has been buried under layers of social norms and family stories. My task isn’t to find it, but to compassionately acknowledge each layer of defense and re-connect with what is already there.
